On the road: The PCs arrived to the Barony of Holywood protecting a wandering merchant called Hervi. Among other things, Hervi was transporting expensive drinks for the Leadbreakers. A few lizardmen attacked the party on the road near the village, but the PCs drove them off, killing a couple.
Arrival to Salzburg: Upon arriving to their destination (the village of Salzburg) in the evening, the PCs learned that some local famillies have been going missing recently. The villagers believe that this has something to do with the dark history of the village related to the Kerban family (see below).
They also learned that a dwarf named Jurgen Leadbreaker, and a human cleric called Rena Eaglefall had been sent from the Unnamed City (the capital of the Barony of Holywood) to investigate these disappearances. Jurgen turned out to be the owner of the mine, and he hired the PCs to investigate the case of the missing villagers, offering a payment of 500 gold pieces to each party member.
An inside scoop: The accountant of the Leadbreaker family called Darviel, who is also staying at Salzburg to receive the shipment from Hervi, shared a little bit of background with the party regarding the Leadbreakers. He told the party that the Leadbreakers live a hedonistic lifestyle, and don't have a lot of money as a result. He thinks that Jurgen won't be able to pay the PCs the amount he promised.
A first look around: The rogue and the ranger decided to go for a walk to check the mine. They found that the mine is well protected, and they weren't granted access in such a late hour. However, upon returning through the woods, they spotted a light in the distance.
They found it to be a campfire set by lizardfolk, inside an ruined fortification at the side of a mountain lake near the village. The heroes spotted a lizard wizard, a tough-looking large lizard, and several smaller ones like those who the PCs fought against earlier.
The players decided to head back to Salzburg to tell what they've learned to their companion.
Getting to know the locals: Speaking of whom, the bard decided to talk to the locals in the absence of her companions, and gathered valuable info regarding the history of the village, and the Kerban and the Leadbreaker families (detailed in the other post).
The bard also learned of the existence of a criminal investigation report that should contain more details about the events related to the Kerban family all those years ago.

- Check out the abandoned Kerban Family estate, which is allegedly haunted.
- Get the Criminal Investigation Report regarding the downfall of the Kerban Family from the Unnamed City.
- Investigate the salt mines to see if there's something fishy going on there (ie. psychic salt).
